Chino Hills city council, 7 p.m., council chambers.

The Holiday Inn Express hotel and changes to The Rincon center will be approved by the Chino Hills city council at 7 p.m. Tuesday unless the council or community member appeals the matter.

The hotel and retail center were approved by the planning commission Feb. 5 and will appear as an agenda item with no action required unless two members of the council ask that it be pulled for review at a later meeting.

In other business, five non-profit groups will come before the council seeking community development block grant funds in amounts ranging from $5,000 to $15,180. They are: House of Ruth domestic violence shelter, Special Olympics Southern California, Inland Fair Housing and Mediation Board, Chino Neighborhood House, and the literacy program for the Chino Hills Branch Library.
