Seeking to raise money to enter a 2018 play into a national competition of community theatres, Chino Community Theatre will hold a special showing of “The Complete History of America (Abridged)” for a $15 donation 6 p.m. Sunday, June 9 at 13123 Seventh St.
Actors Rory Dyer and Michael Buczinski will perform in Edward Albee’s “Marriage Play” directed by John Lynd on June 22 at the AACTFest competition in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
The play was presented last year as part of the “Three on the Edge Festival.”
Chino Community Theatre is representing California in Region 8 which includes Arizona, Hawaii, Nevada, and Guam. The theatre won the top prize in 2009 for its production of “Scooter Thomas Makes it to the Top of the World” and hopes to win again ten years later, said actor, director, and board president Christopher Diehl.
