Please take notice that, on June 18, 2019, at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, at Chino City Hall in the City Council Chambers, 13220 Central Avenue, Chino, California, the City Council will hold a public hearing to consider the following matter:
- PL18-0099 (General Plan Amendment) and PL18-0100 (Preserve Specific Plan Amendment) – A request to change both the General Plan and Preserve Specific Plan land use designations for the 3.1-acre project site from AG (Agriculture) to LI (Light Industrial).
- PL18-0101 (Williamson Act Cancellation) – A request for the tentative cancellation of Williamson Act Contract No. 71-310.
The 3.1-acre project site is located at 9301 Remington Avenue (APN: 0218-301-18 and -20).
A Mitigated Negative Declaration (MND) has been prepared for the Rodriguez Warehouse project pursuant to Section 15070 of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).

The Planning Commission held a public hearing on May 20, 2019 and recommended approval of the General Plan Amendment, Preserve Specific Plan Amendment, Williamson Act Cancellation and related MND, and approved a related Site Approval (PL18-0103) to allow construction of a 50,618-square foot industrial warehouse building on the 3.1-acre project site, subject to approval of the legislative applications.
All interested residents and stakeholders are invited to attend and, if desired, provide testimony at this public hearing. All supporting environmental documentation is available on the City’s website at http://cityofchino.org/city_hall/departments/community_development/planning/environmental_documents. Written comments will be accepted by the City Clerk through June 18, 2019, 5:30 p.m., or at the hearing.
