Back in 2016, Senator Lindsey Graham, a Republican from South Carolina, blasted President Donald Trump on Twitter for unpresidential behavior. “Donald Trump is not a conservative Republican. He's an opportunist. He's not fit to be President of the United States.”

Though previously an outspoken critic of Donald Trump, Senator Graham’s hobbies now include coddling the President of the United States. In a contrasting yet still opportunist tweet, Senator Graham described the “Democrats’ hatred” of President Trump as “sad” and “stupid.”

Rewind two years and we’d see Graham’s apparent distaste for now president Donald Trump. Rewind a few months and we’d see the mentally scarring image of Senator Graham’s hypocritical outburst about “partisanship” during Brett Kavanaugh’s Senate confirmation hearing.

The American people should be, in the words of Lindsey Graham, as “hell-bent” on keeping opportunists, like Senator Graham, out of Capitol Hill as he is on placing a conservative on the “independent” judiciary.
