Gun rights activists are celebrating because a judge rejected California's ban on high-capacity magazines. Judge Roger Benitez declared unconstitutional a section of Proposition 63, approved by the state's voters in 2016 after several mass shootings, which forbids possession of gun magazines that hold more than 10 rounds.

This decision has been hailed by the NRA as they say that gun rights are being suppressed in California. In my opinion, I feel like there has to be another way than limiting magazines or banning certain kinds of guns.

While I do support background checks for individuals buying a gun, I don't think the logical solution to this problem is to limit magazines or ban certain kinds of guns. So I feel Californians should be happy with  this decision as it won’t infringe on their 2nd Amendment rights.
