Chino police arrested a 51-year-old Ontario woman Monday morning on suspicion of robbery at the Kohl’s store in Chino.

Sandy Ann Amaro is being held on $100,000 bail at the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga, jail records show.

Police went to the retail store at 4093 Grand Ave. at 11:46 a.m. on a robbery report, learning a woman assaulted a store employee after she was stopped for trying to steal merchandise, Chino Police spokeswoman Tamrin Olden said. The woman was detained by store employees until police arrived. 

No injuries were reported.
