A 26-year-old Chino Hills man is facing vandalism charges on suspicion of using a bat to damage a car May 16 and using his own vehicle to damage a parked car. Police went to the 5500 block of Gableview Court in Chino Hills at 7:19 a.m. on a report of an unwanted subject, said Sgt. Laura Addy.

“Prior to deputy’s arrival, a man armed himself with a bat and vandalized the victim’s vehicle and front door,” Sgt. Addy said. He then got into his own car and rammed the parked vehicle that was parked in a driveway, the sergeant said

Chamindra Fernando was booked on $50,000 bail at the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga.
