The Chino Junior Fair will return for its 66th showing, Monday July 8 through Saturday, July 13 at the Chino Junior Fairgrounds, southeast corner of Central and Edison avenues.

It is open to the public.

The fair highlights local 4-H and FFA (formerly Future Farmers of America) youth, showcasing livestock, food, apparel and other projects.

Fair projects will be judged throughout the week in the fairgrounds’ barn and arena.

An awards ceremony and deep-pit barbecue dinner will be held 6 p.m. Friday, July 12 in Brinderson Hall at the fairgrounds. There is a cost for the meal. It is followed by an auction of some of the livestock animals. (See related story on Page AA2).

The popular demolition derby, in which drivers crash into each other intentionally, will be held 7 p.m. Saturday, July 13 at the fairgrounds arena. The event, featuring decorated cars and roaring spectators, brings the fair to a close.

The fair’s full schedule is on Page AA2.
