Gannon University men’s water polo goalie Brett Rehrer, a Chino Hills High graduate, was given Google Cloud Academic All-District honors for the 2018 season. 

The award honors players from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference, Mountain East Conference, Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association and Atlantic Region independent schools.

Rehrer, a senior, earned 2018 Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference-West Region Most Valuable Player honors after leading Gannon to a 20-1 overall record, which included a 19-0 start to the season.  He recorded 284 saves, and was third in the nation with 2.73 assists per game during the 2018 season. He was sixth in steals per game with 2.23 and was ninth in save percentage with 66.0. 

Academically, Rehrer has a 3.63 grade-point average. 

Gannon University is located in Erie, Pennsylvania.
