Division 4A 

Ribet Academy 63, Ontario Christian 48

Ribet Academy outscored Ontario Christian, 30-10, in the second quarter in its defeat of the Knights last Saturday in a CIF-Southern Section semifinal game at Ribet Academy in Los Angeles. Alex Schloeman scored 13 points, Julian Alvarez finished with 11 points and William Mouw added 10 points for Ontario Christian (29-3). 

Girls soccer 

Division 6 

Arrowhead Christian 5, Ontario Christian 1 

Arrowhead Christian’s Cassidy Calzaretta recorded a hat trick and Taryn Clark scored a pair of goals last Saturday in the Eagles win over Ontario Christian in a CIF-Southern Section Division 6 semifinal game. 

The Eagles advanced to the Division 6 title game against South El Monte at 1 p.m. today at Arrowhead Christian High School in Redlands. 

Ontario Christian’s Julia Galdamez scored a goal for the Knights early in the first half to tie the game at 1-1. 

With the loss, Ontario Christian fell to 17-11-2. 



Chino 2, Diamond Ranch 2 (4 innings) 

Chino pitcher Violet Salazar did not allow a hit  and Milaysia Ochoa smacked a two-run triple to tie the game with Diamond Ranch. The game ended after four innings. 

Jurupa Valley Tournament 

Ayala 21, Patriot 0 

Ayala High’s Kayla Rodgers hit a second-inning grand slam and finished with five RBIs and Hannah Hughbanks also knocked in five runs Tuesday in the Bulldogs’ win over Patriot. 

Bulldogs pitcher Tori Mendoza tossed four shut out innings and allowed only one hit, a bunt single. 

Savanna Showcase Tournament 

Oak Hills 7, Ontario Christian 1 

Ontario Christian’s Bridgette Trujillo had first-inning RBI single and later added another hit Monday in the Knights’ loss to Oak Hills. 

Ontario Christian 3, Segerstrom 2 

Alexis Toledo, Xoe Ulloa and Reese Montgomery had an RBI apiece to lead Ontario Christian past Segerstrom on Monday. Toledo led the Knights with two hits. Baseball 

Newport Elks Tournament 

Yucaipa 4, Chino Hills 3 

Yucaipa took a one-run lead with three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning Tuesday in its win over Chino Hills. Connor Harvey had three hits and scored a run and Blake Borgogno and Preston Kelly each had an RBI single for Chino Hills. Yucaipa’s Anthony Gibbons hit a two-run triple for the Thunderbirds in the victory. 

Chino Preseason Tournament

Chino 5, Ontario Christian 1

Chino’s Pastor Valdez had two hits and two RBIs, Jack Parker had two hits and Arthur Briones scored two runs Wednesday in the Cowboys’ win over Ontario Christian.

Indio 3, Chino 2  

Indio scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning last Saturday to pull out a one-run victory against Chino. 

Robert Gordon had a double and RBI for Chino. 

Upland 4, Ontario Christian 3 

Upland scored two runs in the third inning and added two more in the fourth inning last Saturday in its one-run win over the Knights. 

Aaron Zubiate finished with a double and two RBIs for Ontario Christian. 

Don Lugo Preseason Tournament 

California 3, Don Lugo 0 

California’s Jason Flock knocked in two runs and Isaac Herrera had an RBI in the first inning Monday in its shut out victory over Don Lugo.  

Loara Tournament 

Ayala 10, Yorba Linda 0 

Ayala’s Joe Naranjo finished 2 for 4 with three RBIs and tossed five innings, allowed one hit and struck out six in the Bulldogs victory Monday. Diego Santiago pitched two innings of relief, struck out four and did not allow a hit. John Pappas knocked in two runs and Dylan Cook and Jacob Johnston each had an RBI for Ayala. 

Ayala 14, San Clemente 0 

John Pappas had two hits, including a home run, and had four RBIs and Daniel Ramirez finished 2 for 2 with a double and three RBIs in the Bulldogs victory last Saturday over San Clemente. 

The Bulldogs scored five runs in each of the second and seventh innings.
