Chino 2, Adelanto 1 (9 innings)
Chino batters were held to three hits and struck out 10 times, but held on for a nine-inning one-run win over Adelanto Monday afternoon.
Jesse Cueva, Issac Ruiz and Joshua Cate, who scored the game-winning run, had one hit apiece for Chino.
Norco 5, Chino 2
Chino High’s Jesse Cueva and Cameron White recorded an RBI, but the Cowboys fell to Norco on March 1.
Aaron Eden, Clayton Owens, Menelik Israel, Dasani Mukasa-Wilson and Brandon Cermenelli had an RBI apiece for Norco.
Don Lugo Preseason Tournament
Ontario Christian 3, Baldwin Park 0
Ontario Christian won the Don Lugo High tournament title Wednesday, shutting out Baldwin Park in the title game.
Nolan Jorgenson had two hits and an RBI for Ontario Christian, which improved to 5-0.
Don Lugo 13, La Sierra 5
Don Lugo scored five first-inning runs, added three more in the fourth, one run in the fifth and four more in the sixth inning last Saturday to record a win over La Sierra.

Ontario Christian’s Moses Serrano and Dylan Schwartz recorded an RBI Monday in the Knights’ win over Excelsior Charter.
Ayala 5, Mission Viejo 4
Ayala scored five runs in the bottom of the seventh inning Tuesday, capped by a walk-off single by Daniel Ramirez to send the Bulldogs to the semifinals of the Loara Tournament in Orange County.

Ayala’s Daniel Mendez had a hit and two RBIs and Sean McLeod finished with a double and an RBI last Saturday in the Bulldogs’ win over the Lancers. Dylan Cook and Kyle Velazquez also knocked in a run for Ayala, which improved to 4-0 and outscored their opponents, 41-3.

Ayala jumped out to a 4-0 lead after two innings in its shut out victory against Vista Murrieta March 1. Dylan Cook, Cole Koniarsky, Sean McLeod, Joe Naranjo, Tristian Thomas and Kyle Velazquez all knocked in a run for Ayala.

Chino Hills 3, Alta Loma 1
Chino Hills High’s Henry Martinez singled, tripled and had an RBI Monday in the Huskies’ win against Alta Loma. Connor Brady and Skyler Agnew each had a hit and an RBI for Chino Hills in the victory. Preston Kelly tossed a complete-game, striking out five and allowing four hits for the Huskies.

Ayala 4, Etiwanda 2
Ayala’s Kaylee Moore had a three-run triple during the Bulldogs’ four-run fifth inning Wednesday to defeat Etiwanda. With the win, Ayala advanced to the tournament’s semifinals.

Savannah Magadan and Anjaly Cruz each went 3 for 3 and pitcher Crystal Amaral allowed one hit in Don Lugo’s victory Tuesday over Pomona Catholic.

Don Lugo’s Rosina Munoz and Savannah Magadan each hit solo home runs in the Conquistadores’ win Monday. Olivia Gonzalez and Sarah Velazquez recorded an RBI for Don Lugo in the victory. Don Lugo pitcher Crystal Amaral allowed one hit, struck out 11 and no walks in five innings of work.

Ayala led 7-0 in the third inning in its win Monday over Temescal Canyon. Madison Sanchez tossed a complete-game and Marisa Zorrilla and Hannah Hughbanks had three hits apiece for the Bulldogs.

Bailey Tucker and Savannah Magadan had an RBI and Ellie Garcia and Ciara Rizo each recorded a triple for Don Lugo in Monday’s win against the Tigers.

Ayala led 4-0 after two innings and 8-3 after three innings Monday in its win over Notre Vista. Kyleigh Sand went 4 for 4 with three doubles and a triple and four Ayala players collected two hits apiece in the Bulldogs’ win.

Ayala’s Kyleigh Sand had three hits and scored two runs and Kobie Hura and Kaylee Moore each knocked in a run March 1 in the Bulldogs’ victory over Riverside Poly. Ayala pitcher Madison Sanchez allowed two hits over five innings, struck out six and issued five walks. Hailey Godoy got the save, pitching the final two innings, not allowing a hit.

Chino Hills High’s Reese Vargas and Makena Brocki recorded three RBIs apiece and Payton Kelly knocked in two runs March 1 in the Huskies’ shut out win over Alta Loma. Freshman pitcher Kendall Mangel tossed four innings, struck out five and allowed one hit to earn the victory. Alyssa Martinez, Kayleen Schneider and Kayla Chavez recorded an RBI apiece for Chino Hills.

Temple City 3, Ontario Christian 2
Temple City rallied from a 2-0 deficit with two runs in the sixth inning and the game-winning run in the seventh inning March 1 to pull out a victory over Ontario Christian. Ashlynne Burk homered and Kellie Hough had a double and RBI for Ontario Christian.
