Chino Hills man arrested after firearms, narcotics found in home

Handguns, ammunition and narcotics were found during search of a home in Chino Hills this morning, resulting in the arrest of a 20-year-old man, according to the Chino Hills Police Department.

Nicholas Hernandez, of Chino Hills, was booked into the West Valley Detention Center on suspicion of being a felon in possession of firearms and possession of narcotics for sales, said Deputy Aaron Mendoza.

Deputies went to a home in the 2300 block of Turquoise Circle at 9:30 a.m. to serve a search warrant for illicit drug sales at the house, the deputy said.

"The investigation was initiated as a result of information from a We-Tip. During the service of the warrant a handgun was located," Deputy Mendoza said.

Drug materials and money was also located inside the home, the deputy added.
