A 54-year-old Los Angeles man was killed Nov. 8 after he was struck by a semitruck in the parking lot of ViewSonic at 14035 Pipeline Ave. in Chino.

Coroner’s officials have not identified the man, pending notification of next of kin.

Chino police and Chino Valley firefighters were called at 10:18 a.m. on a report of a pedestrian being struck.

“(He) was walking behind the semitruck as it was backing,” Chino police said in a statement.

Neither drugs nor alcohol are suspected as factors in the collision.

Anyone with information is asked to call Officer Andrew Bernath at 334-3045 or email abernath@chinopd.org.
