An 18-year-old woman and three teenage boys were arrested on suspicion of burglarizing two Chino Hills homes between Nov. 28 and Dec. 7.
The burglaries caused a loss of more than $50,000 in stolen goods and property damage to the homes in the 16000 block of Sagebrush Street and the 16000 block of China Berry Court in the southern area of Chino Hills.
All four suspects live in Eastvale, according to Deputy G. Perez of the Chino Hills Police Department.
Dejah Marie Walton was booked on $25,000 bail into the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga.
Two 17-year-old boys and a 15-year-old boy were booked into the San Bernardino Juvenile Detention Center.
They face charges of burglary, conspiracy and possession of stolen property, Deputy Perez said.
Juvenile court records were not available because they are not public record.
Deputies were first called on Nov. 28 to the Sagebrush address after a “knock-knock” burglary.”
“A female suspect knocked on the door of the residence. When no one answered the door, three juvenile males accompanying (the female) entered the residence by shattering the rear glass sliding door,” Deputy Perez said.
Surveillance video saw the quartet running away with bags of stolen property before getting into a silver Volkswagen with paper license plates, Deputy Perez said.
On Dec. 7, deputies believe the same suspects were seen running out of the backyard of the China Berry Court home with bags of stolen property.
They also got into a silver Volkswagen with paper license plates.
“Deputies confirmed the rear sliding glass door has been shattered and the home ransacked and burglarized,” Deputy Perez said.
That same day, deputies saw the wanted vehicle and arrested four people.
“Property from the burglaries was recovered,” the deputy added.
