They’re making it look easy. 

The Ontario Christian High School girls’ volleyball team won its 32nd game of the season Wednesday night, beating Pacifica High School in Garden Grove  25-18, 25-20, 25-8, to earn a spot in tonight’s (Oct. 27)  Division 5 semifinals. 

The top-ranked Knights (32-2) have yet to lose a set in four CIF-Southern Section playoff games as they travel to St. Anthony High School in Long Beach for tonight’s 5 p.m. semifinal. 

St. Anthony High School is located at 620 Olive Ave.

Winner of tonight’s match will advance to the CIF-Southern Section championship game against Paloma Valley or Viewpoint on Saturday, Nov. 3. 

Against Pacifica, Annaka Jorgenson recorded 15 kills and two aces for Ontario Christian. 

Jenna Holmes added nine kills, Payton Tazalaar added eight kills and two aces, Giselle Vogel added six kills, 19 assists and two aces, and Micaela Cruz  and Riley DeGroot combined for 10 kills. Kiley Goedhart recorded 25 assist for Ontario Christian. In this season’s playoffs, Ontario Christian has defeated Sultana 25-8, 25-10, 25-14; Schurr 25-15, 25-20, 25-19 to extend its winning streak to 14 games, and has 29 of its last 30 games. 

Don Lugo, the second-place team from the Mt. Baldy League, had its season end Wednesday night after a five-set thriller against San Dimas in a Division 5 quarterfinal game. 

San Dimas, the second-seeded team in the division, scored the final eight points in the fifth set to take the match 25-17, 21-25, 25-23, 20-25, 15-8 to advance to tonight’s semifinal against Nordhoff High. 

Don Lugo finishes the season at 16-9. 

Ellie Garcia led Don Lugo with 24 kills, Alysa Ochoa had 23 digs, Aniya Smith added 18 digs and Nicole Briggs added eight kills. 

Don Lugo advanced to Wednesdsay’s quarterfinal after last Saturday’s 25-23, 25-18, 25-13 win over Sacred Heart of Los Angeles.
