Ayala High’s Chander Carthan was named Mountain West League Football Athlete of the Year and quarterback Bryan Wilson was the league’s Offensive Most Valuable Player for the 2021 season. The Bulldogs finished 3-0 to win the Palomares League title. 

Alta Loma’s Nick Pasquarella was named Defensive Player of the Year. 

Carthan led the Bulldogs in tackles (88), tackles for a loss (18) and was second with 6.5 sacks. Offensively, he caught three touchdowns passes and had one rushing score. 

Wilson, a sophomore who is 14-1 as Ayala’s starting quarterback, finished with 1,264 yards, 16 touchdowns and had a quarterback rating of 95.4
