The Chino Hills High girls’ cross country team captured its fourth straight Baseline League championships Tuesday afternoon at Central Park in Rancho Cucamonga, securing their spot in the CIF-Southern Section Preliminaries set for Nov. 10.

Jacqueline Duarte, a sophomore, won the individual title for the second time, finishing the three-mile race in 17:48.9. Lauren Jauregui took second overall in 18:10.5 and Miranda McGarry placed ninth in 19:11.1.

On the boys’ side, Chino Hills High’s Noah Rehfeldt won the individual championship in 15:46.3, narrowing beating out teammate Jake Bergmann’s second-place time of 15:47. 

Chino Hills placed second in the team standings behind Etiwanda, which won its first boys’ cross country league championship in 28 years.

Girls varsity

Team standings: Chino Hills 47, Rancho Cucamonga 58, Etiwanda 74, Upland 100, St. Lucy’s 111, Los Osos 127.

Boys varsity

Team standings: Etiwanda 37, Chino Hills 48, Rancho Cucamonga 70; Damien 100, Upland 100, Los Osos 180.

Chino Hills results: Noah Rehfeldt (first, 15:46.3); Jake Bergmann (second, 15:47.4); Caleb Kozakovsky (10th, 16:05.9); Elijan Dinneweth (12th, 16:10.9); Mason Ma (23rd, 16:44.5); Brandon Lopez (24th, 16:46.2); Joshua Sanhamel (25th, 16:46.5).
